Hello! I urge you to oppose HB1778. As an individual who identifies with several of the identities which would be prohibited to speak of in school, I can assure you that this sort of censorship will only harm children. We should be encouraging a welcome spirit, inclusivity, and curiosity about marginalized identities, not further alienating and causing division, stigma, and shame. Please consider the damaging impact a bill like this will have on kids who identify as any of these marginalized and “prohibited” groups. Please oppose this bill and vote in favor of a more welcoming and inclusive learning environment. Thank you.
