This is an utterly backwards-thinking and ridiculous proposed bill. On the former (backwards-thinking), it 'REQUIRES' - in the first summary / analysis paragraph - that energy used in NH include hydrocarbons? How very last century. On the latter (ridiculous), the reliable part? Per the text, "'Reliable' means a source of electricity that is not subject to intermittent availability or routine daily weather variation" - our solar array, in place for 10 years, has not had any reliability issues whatsoever. Not to mention that our - or any - solar panels have never caused safety or health risks to anyone. The list of hydrocarbon safey and health concerns is too long to share here but includes combustion and environmental contamination as well as significant associated health risks such as CNS depression, poison, respitory issues, and cancer.
