I am opposed to property taxes for nonprofit entities and organizations with value over a million dollars. Many charitable organizations in NH provide housing, childcare, health care and places to worship for the population of our state. Taxing them is a burden that would likely reduce their ability to serve and care for our neighbors and community members. I do not feel like the current process of property valuation correctly reflects the fair market value and the bill would create more harm than benefit.
