I oppose HB 1293 because it would make it harder for organizations like Upreach Therapeutic, which I am on the board of, to do the work our communities rely on. The bill creates new barriers and requirements that would add financial strain and pull limited resources away from direct services. This would reduce access to timely, flexible, and effective care for the people who need it most. Instead of supporting prevention and healing, HB 1293 risks weakening programs that help children, families, and individuals thrive, or could jeapordize them all together. This cannot continue.
