I live within the Hollis-Brookline Co-Op school district. We have approved projects, waiting on state funding. This bill would allow charter schools to cut in line for this aid. We already have continuously increasing property taxes and every time the state fails to collect the appropriate levels of tax from businesses and wealthy individuals, we end up paying more. The school voucher scheme is also diverting funds from our property taxes. We have some of the highest property taxes in the state - at the very least it should benefit our local schools and community. This is an outrageous diversion of funds. Please reject this Bill.
