I am in support of this bill. Students in Fourth Grade across our state study New Hampshire as a year-long focus in social studies. Most also study the water cycle as a unit in Science. By having a state lake, teachers will have a significant connection between the students' study of the the state and our natural resources. Lake Winnipesaukee could become an important connection between our students' knowledge of our state and their sense of environmental stewardship for their local communities.
