This bill would increase the business profits tax, which has been reduced in recent years and is proposed to be reduced yet again this session. The state cannot continue to reduce taxes and then push local jurisdictions to pick up the slack.. The state cannot continue to reward the wealthy to the detriment of the rest of the citizens.
