While I support moving toward a statewide funding model, the proposed per-pupil amount of $10,000 appears well below the actual cost of providing a quality education in New Hampshire. Without an adequate base, this structure risks relying on local supplementation, which historically benefits wealthier communities and undermines the goal of equity.
