This bill will increase property taxes in all towns who need state building aid for the renovations necessary for their schools. It is contrary to any reasonable priority for the use of public funds - 5% of children attend charter schools; 85% traditional public schools. The State had a moratorium for years on state aid and since has been erratic about providing building aid -- there is such a backlog of need -- this is absolutely contrary to the public interest!!
