I strongly oppose this bill. It is useless and does not improve the education of NH students. All it does is serve to limit world view, individualism, and exposure to different cultures and perspectives. Consolidation of “approved” symbols is another step towards the decent into fascism. It is only a benefit to students to know that their teacher can be a trusted adult, patriotic, a fair educator, and good person, AND be a Pats fan, or from a different country, or part of the LGBTQ community. A wide range of culture, background, interest, love, and etc. makes does not distract or indoctrinate our students it makes them better thinkers and humans and promote acceptance and curiosity.
