It does not escape our notice that our public schools are being systematically destroyed. We have an obligation for PUBLIC education and it should come first. A decent education should be afforded to all students in this state. If you can afford a private education or to home school that’s s fine but that’s your financial responsibility, not the public’s. If public schools need to be revamped then they should be but revamped does not mean dismantled. The vast majority of tax payers in this state cannot afford to send their children to private school. A decent education should not become the right of the wealthy or better off only. Support public schools with public dollars. You are supposed to represent the people of this state - not special interests or party agendas. Please do not add this tax burden to the breaking backs of the taxpayers.
