Please oppose. Property owners should not be in the business of determining a person's status in the US. They should be in the business of owning, managing, and leasing property. Property management companies already can use credit checks and other methods to determine credit worthniness and accept or deny to rent. Pushing what has become a culture war into law for renting is a terrible idea, and gains nothing, and will have a lot of costs.
