Though I am long retired, in my life I have worked in one union but mostly non=union positions. There was only one non-union employer where the collective interests and well-being of all was truly voluntarily considered and honored. Any law that would undermine the safeguards provided through collective bargaining harms the economic and work advancement gains obtained with collective bargaining and cannot be justified. Most employers, in my experience, are not sufficiently concerned with taking steps to improve the lives of their employees without collective bargaining there to require it.
