The very concept of requiring to be born in NH in order to able to vote is utterly asinine. I am a US citizen. I moved to this state 20 years ago. I have lived here longer than I have lived any other place. NH has become my home. I am a public school teacher and a member of my community participating in a variety of civic events and duties. With this being said, I will NOT swear some jingoistic oath of fealty to the governor or the senate. The very idea is offensive. I say my pledge to the United States of America and pay appropriate honor to the flag of my country. If NH plans to secede from the union and be a separate sovereign nation, then we can talk about this bill. Until then? Absolutely not. To quote Albert Einstein “I am against nationalism even in the guise of patriotism. Both are based on personality cult.” Please, don't act like cultists. This is wrong and incredibly anti-American. I would question the patriotism of anyone who would even suggest it.
