The State of New Hampshire has established clear voter registration requirements that have proven effective. While there's always room for improvement, discarding the years of effort by generations of lawmakers to create a New Hampshire "citizenship card" and an "oath of allegiance" is unnecessary, as is the requirement that citizens sign an oath of allegiance. Additionally, the cost exceeding $2.5 million, according to the Secretary of State, is a waste of money that could be better used to support existing services. I am opposed to this bill.
