I like the idea of seasonal/tourism plates, but not as a replacement to the current plate. It was my understanding based on other hearings recently that the DMV is going to have new license plate design/printing technology next year. If that is the case, I'd much rather see an amendment to HB1482 that instead makes these new designs available *in addition* to the existing plates for an additional fee of say $20 with proceeds given to tourism.
