I support this bill that requires basic transparency and accountability for counties, municipalities, and political organizations that are collaborating with federal immigration enforcement. This is common-sense legislation that serves to provide basic and important information about the actions of local government bodies and political groups. An informed electorate is the foundation of a healthy democracy. NH constituents have a right to know about the actions of their local government and political leaders. All members of the NH House of Representatives, regardless of political affiliation, should support this bill. Advocating against transparency for political actors conveys untrustworthiness and corruption.
