I support this bill. Accountability and transparency within the school voucher (EFA) program is way overdue. When an oversight committee doesn't meet for a whole year, during which time the organization paid with tax dollars to administer the program hides data from the legislature and public about where the money is being spent, something is not right. Voting to nearly double the size and budget of the program without that data is an irresponsible and reckless use of my tax dollars. Insisting that going forward there will be a reasonable amount of transparency and reporting by the organization that is paid up to 10% of every public dollar spent on the program is the least lawmakers can do for their constituents. Pass this bill!
