Schools are places of learning and not platforms for political or ideological agendas to be displayed. New Hampshire was the State to ratify the union therefore the flag of New Hampshire should be displayed with the National Flag. Flags of other states could be displayed to educate students of the diversity that exists in the great land. Small illustrative flags can be displayed in some classrooms to educate students as to, for example: the francophone nations, the extent of the British Empire, the component parts of the Soviet Union, etc. Flags demonstrating one's personal affiliations, sexual proclivities or political ideologies should never be displayed permanently in a class room. If in a text book on a topic, then explanation of the meaning is readily available. Celebrate our State, our nation and what good it has brought to the world.
