As a senior citizen on a fixed income I am being crushed by the out of control local property taxes. The constant rise in property taxes is highly due to the state giving tax breaks to the already wealthy and due to “freedom account” money grabs being paid to those who simply don’t need the money as they already had children enrolled in expensive fancy private schools, unaccountable religious institutions, unqualified home schools and others. I support this bill as a means to reverse these money grabs and get the money back to the people, helping us to keep our homes.
