Presently, the federal DHS has no mandate to communicate with state and local authorities before arriving in our communities. This bill would mandate reports to the public of all activity including communication (or lack thereof) between federal and state entities as well as actions taken by either party. These reports are essential to trust in government and honesty in the performance of those who act on our behalf.
