Debora Hatcher

This bill is alarming. Why would the sponsors want to make it overseas voters to provide proof of citizenship before voting? Federal law has established that they are eligible to vote. This bill discriminates against Americans who travel, work or otherwise live overseas but are not in our military. An American is an American. This bill is unfair. Like many other anti-voter bills proposed by the NH legislature, this bill adds no integrity to the election process. It just makes it harder for Americans to vote. I am also worried about this from a financial point of view for the state: This seems unconstitutional. I worry that it will attract unnecessary and expensive lawsuits. NH cannot afford nonsense like this.
