The equity in the education field is shrinking each year. Each year I am forced to adapt and overcome. I taught in the city of Manchester for 3 years before I had a teacher contract. My union helped us to get a contract that tried to be fair to everyone. I have had to lean on my union on more than one occasion for unfair treatment, support outside of the classroom, and more. I would not want to be an educator without a strong union behind me. The favoritism in education needs to stop. We all have a job to do.
