As a young family I think this bill will discourage some families from getting healthy movement outside! It would be very expensive for us to register 4+ bicycles when we already struggle with the cost of buying new bikes. We bike in public parks where it is allowed and around our house, I would hate to think that we could get in trouble for using our own bicycles without paying registration. Another perspective is people who choose to bike to work to reduce emissions. This helps minimize road maintence too! If the state is short on funds, I would suggest a gas tax or legalizing marijuana and taxing dispensaries. Respectfully, a citizen who thinks paying $50/bicycle is outrageous when there are more important issues.
