The limitation on public employees to independently contract has caused our schools to lose good teachers that we could have otherwise hired or kept if we were able to independently negotiate with them. Our schools are suffering due to the lack of competition in this industry, and we can't improve our schools until the teacher hierarchy is disrupted. The bargaining unit negotiators are always comprised by the most serious teachers, and they always focus on seniority as the primary performance indicator. It's very hard to get younger teachers with significant skills because they're stuck in a very slow pay chart that never rewards performance. Please help our kids by voting for this bill.
