I oppose this bill as written in general. But if it is going to move forward I would like to see the exemptions extended to World History classes as well. As an AP European History teacher I have been known to display flags that would not fall under these currently written exemptions, the flag of the Holy Roman Empire, for example, or Prussia. These are legitimate educational uses. Also, I had a colleague who had a flag from South Carolina in his room, because he had been born there, and was proud of it, I don't think it's unreasonable to display a flag from another US state, either.
