Christina Emery 306 Whitehall Rd Hooksett, NH 03106 greeksicans.luckyclover@gmail.com January 23, 2026 Dear members of the House Education Policy Administration Committee, I write today as both a parent and an advocate within the homeschooling and private education community to voice my Against category O in HB1334. My concerns are as follows - Less flexibility for students with disabilities and unique learning needs. Many students require supports that don't fit neatly in statutory line items; removing category O eliminates a safety valve that allows educators and families to approve individualized services. This risk supports that are essential for child access to learning. Newer options and education tools and technologies change rapidly. Narrowing allowable expenses increases delays because the law cannot keep pace with real-world needs. The removal of category O in HB1334 would harm the very students who require the most flexibility, the most individualized support and the most responsive educational tools. Retaining this category is essential to ensuring that students with disabilities and unique learning needs are not left behind. I urge you to help " future proof" the program. Thank you, Christina Emery
