Candace Bergstrom | Support HB1750

I am a New Hampshire community college teacher shocked to find that students in my classes at NHTI in Concord are hungry, and do not have enough money to eat while many work to put themselves through college. I support the passage of HB 1750 that will ensure state investments to keep SNAP benefits fully operational. How do we all justify the fact that in the wealthiest country on the planet children, seniors, and college students don't have enough to eat? enough to eat? I donate to food banks monthly and let the appropriate services at the college know when I've got students in my classes who are talking about or writing about being hunger.
