I am writing to express my strong opposition to HB 1293. If passed, this legislation would impose significant financial burdens on nonprofit organizations across New Hampshire, effectively diverting critical resources away from public-serving missions and into new tax obligations. Our nonprofit sector is already navigating a perfect storm of financial instability due to the reduction of federal grants and dwindling state resources. These organizations provide essential services that prevent many Granite Staters from falling through the cracks. Every dollar redirected toward a tax burden is a dollar taken away from direct community service. I urge you to protect our nonprofit sector and vote "Inexpedient to Legislate" on HB 1293.
