HB1649 barring Towns from contributing to non-profits is a bad bill, and a violation of New Hampshire's "live free or die" and local control ethos. What if any town wants to contribute to a nonpartisan, community event sponsored by a non-profit, like fireworks or a barbecue, or a concert? It’s not for state government to dictate where a town spends its money. This is the worst kind of overreach and the bill must be defeated.
