We need housing options for unhoused and low-income people. We can’r keep wasting people’s lives and the community’s tax dollars arguing about whether people deserve to have their basic needs met. The answer is always “YES!” because any one of us could be the people in need at any point in our lives. We need to focus on the “live free” part of the state slogan instead of the “or die”. Without more affordable housing, human beings struggling to protect their families and survive harsh conditions will never get the chance to live free - as a community, we will be condemning them to die.
