I write in support of CACR 25 and the codification of marriage equality in New Hampshire. New Hampshire is known as the Live Free or Die state. That principle must include the freedom to live openly and to love freely, without fear that fundamental rights will be taken away by future political shifts. At a time when civil rights and personal freedoms are being challenged across the country, New Hampshire has the opportunity to lead. Codifying marriage equality affirms our commitment to individual liberty, family stability, and equal protection under the law. CACR 25 sends a clear message that New Hampshire stands for freedom, fairness, and the protection of its people and I respectfully urge the legislature to support it.
