I formally submit support of this bill passing, and moving to public vote in November. Same-sex marriage should be ratified into out constitution, to secure the rights of spouses in the event of a potential national movement. All spouses, regardless of gender, should safely maintain the privilege's marriage allows without fear of outside organizations revoking those rights. We should not fear our rights be taken away simply because we fell in love with someone of the same gender. Couples have been enjoying the legal rights marriage protects in the state since 2010, and we should continue to have these protections in the state of New Hampshire regardless of what other's in the nation decide is right for them.
