Catherine Mills | Oppose HB1635

i believe changing this bill would have the possibility of detriment to our youth. Many times school personnel see a different view then what is revealed our shown at home. the training helps to identify subtle changes in personalities , struggles and atmospheres are youth are subjected too. Such as Bullying, self esteem, possible struggles at home the pressures out youth face are so much more than faced even 10 or 20 years ago, let alone when many of us were their age. .Suicide is the second leading cause of death in New Hampshire for youth ages 10 to 24. Too many young lives are being lost, and suicide is preventable. Early identification, education, and intervention are proven tools to save lives. Students spend much of their time in school, placing educators and staff in a unique position to notice warning signs and take action. Clear, consistent training provides the guidance and confidence needed to act quickly and appropriately. Weakening the bill jeopardizes the safety of our youth.. Changing Bill 1635 would take this away and weaken the strongholds and safety of our youth and future generations. God forbid any of your children and families lose a life to suicide. Respectfully
