This bill would establish conditions that are expensive and impractical to fulfill — our state wildlife agencies are severely underfunded, and do not have the staffing to conduct current field surveys for every occurrence of a Threatened or Endangered Species. In addition, wildlife move, and can be difficult to photograph for “verifiable” evidence, but that does not mean they are not present or deserving of protection in appropriate habitat. This bill would significantly undermine the protections T&E species need and deserve. I strongly oppose it.
