Gaetano Gangemi | Support HB1179

I support this bill because it mandates a higher level of medical staff to be on-site at medical facilities such as nursing homes, Long Term Care facilities, and other medical facilities in New Hampshire. Even with the current regulations requiring fewer medical staff the requirements are not being met in many facilities. I am hopeful with the more stringent requirements in HB1179 there will be more medical staff attending the patients/residents in medical facilities. The excuse always given for lack of employees is that there are not enough nurses and LNA's seeking this type of employment but I believe that there are enough but the pay and working conditions need to be addressed.
