The revenue generated by the business profits tax is one of the largest sources of revenue in New Hampshire at approximately 36% . Removing it would leave the state in a dire financial situation unable to adequately serve its residents. Without another approved tax source of similar size removing this tax revenue would be irresponsible to the residents of New Hampshire.
