I strongly agree that (the right to marry is a fundamental civil right and that the state shall protect the right of every individual, regardless of sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or race, to marry and to have their marriage legally recognized). I would feel proud to see NH protect marriage equality in the state constitution. Protecting marriage equality is crucial for permanent safeguarding of fundamental rights like autonomy, dignity, and equal protection for LGBTQ+ couples, ensuring consistent recognition of marriage benefits (like hospital visitation, inheritance, taxes), and providing a stronger defense against future federal or state legislative attempts to revoke these rights. Love Wins!
