I oppose this bill. Gun safety training does not belong in the school curriculum, nor should schools (aka property tax payers) be forced to pay for this unfunded mandate. It belongs in dedicated private fire arms training and gun safety schools, and the courses should be paid for by the participant. Noting if the legislature would like to propose a bill mandating all gun license applicants be required to obtain such training at their expense, I would support that.
