While New Hampshire is exempt from the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA) because it offers Election Day registration at the polls, registering at the polls can be enough of an annoying hassle to discourage any would-be voter. Requiring the DMV to offer registration to vote at the time of application for or renewal of a drivers license or nondrivers ID will reduce the administrative burden on poll workers and decreases wait times for *all* voters on Election Day. In addition, Electronic transmission of data from the DMV to election officials reduces manual data entry errors and ensures voter rolls are updated with current addresses more frequently. I urge you to support HB 1600.
