Requiring the Secretary of State to accept registration forms directly from voters and creating an online portal for direct voter registration will remove barriers for individuals with disabilities, who have restrictive work schedules, or who lack transportation. When meshed with the Secretary of State's upgrade of the "legacy voter database", efficiency will be enhanced thereby reducing administrative burden. Moreover, a centralized, direct submission process will assist voter registration list maintenance by more accurately updating existing registrations when voters move, which improves overall election accuracy.
