The passage of this bill will place an unnecessary burden on the taxpayers of this state. Passage of this bill will reduce the financial responsibility of this state to fund public schools and ensure that children enrolled in public schools are getting the best education they need. This would place another unfunded mandate on taxpayers who are already struggling to pay their property taxes, let alone their mortgages, rent or groceries. There is no real relief from the ramifications of the passage of this bill and ultimately it is the taxpayers that will suffer the burden of an ill advised piece of legislation. New Hampshire is already facing a state budget deficit and the passage of this bill will not serve to help matters.
