Debora Hatcher

I am an independent voter. I grew up in NH. Our schools have always been underfunded and our property taxes have always been high. The current legislature has exacerbated these problems. For Concord to require all NH public schools to provide firearm safety education is interference in local rule. Our public schools are struggling to provide adequate fundamental education to our children. Parents who want to their kids taught about gun safety can work with their school boards, or better yet, pay for it themselves. For Concord to require this additional, frivolous curriculum, without providing funding, only worsens the school funding situation. This bill is an overreach by state elected officials. And it is fiscally irresponsible. Please don't support this bill. Thank you.
