My name is Karen and I live and vote in Bristol. I SUPPORT this bill to update the definition of the state building code to include the 2024 International Energy Conservation Code. Using the most updated codes ensures new buildings are constructed to modern efficiency standards, reducing long-term energy costs for homeowners and businesses. This would result in lower monthly energy bills and protect unsuspecting homeowners from unscrupulous builders that do not use the proper materials and methods needed to produce an energy efficient building.
