New Hampshire has the most restrictive voting laws in the entire United States. Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy. Our laws should ensure proper accessibility to voting. Laws which create unconstitutional roadblocks to voting have no place in our state. Under current voting laws, some eligible voters have been turned away from voting. These 3 bills will help ensure that New Hampshire's elections remain accessible and fair. They propose laws that are already in place and being used effectively and efficiently in many states across the country. Republican election law legislation has been driven by false rhetoric about "stolen elections" and illegal voting. Voters should not have to jump through so many hoops to vote. The NH Secretary of State has stated that there is no evidence of issues of election fraud in our state. I am a Supervisor of the Checklist and can attest to the fact that we used to have a perfectly fair and accessible voting system that is currently being undermined by ridiculous bills put forth by legislators under the guise of fixing voter fraud --- voter fraud is simply not a thing in the state of NH.
