This is another disincentive for alternative, clean, non-fossil fuel energy. Why are you proposing this ? It makes me think our legislature is controlled by fossil fuel interests. We need to be encouraging people to install solar energy systems and create incentives for them to do so. I have a solar energy system and was very happy to learn that I would not have to pay more in real estate taxes for the property improvement. This should be encouraged. Our real estate tax burden is already 2nd in the nation next to Hawaii-what are we doing creating more tax burdens and disincentives for clean energy. Fossil fuels pollute, are finite and need to be extracted by methods that destroy the environment. This is not a future our children should inherit! Time to move on from dirty energy and antiquated methods of energy use.
