I support this bill as it removes party politics and partisanship from the electoral process. An independent commission to create redistricting maps for the legislature to vote on is much fairer than the party in power abusing fair and equitable elections. Gerrymandering by a party in power is not democracy. I live in District 32 that was gerrymandered by the Republican party and Governor Sununu. We used to be with Lyndeborough and Temple which was a fairer distribution of registered voters per party. We were then gerrymandered and now have New Ipswich in our district. New Ipswich's has a larger population and far more registered Republican voters than either Temple or Wilton. We are now losing every election and many Democratic candidates will not run anymore as the district is so slanted to Republicans in New Ipswich. This is not democratic or fair. Time to have a non-partisan group determine redistricting maps!
