Catherine Bushueff | Support HB1114

I strongly support HB 1114 for multiple reasons. Lawmaking is a public process and does not occur in a bubble. Legislators should not only listen to public comments but also retain them as part of the process. This will help improve policies and outcomes and help keep the process open and accountable. Public input reveals what communities truly need, helps avoid mistakes, and creates a record that supports fair and appropriate decisions. Additionally, keeping these comments promotes fairness by including people who cannot attend in person, provides future policy makers with a helpful background, and builds trust by showing that everyone’s voice matters.
