This bill is important for cities and towns to have control over ADU locations. The protected shoreland is one of the most critical areas for lake and river health. This natural buffer is the last line of defense, filtering pollution, stabilizing soils, and reducing runoff water before it reaches lakes and rivers. I am for ADUs but not within the shoreline buffer zone in order to help keep our lakes cleaner. I am for the fix that HB 1540 will provide.
