Dear Legislators, Having an independent Redistricting Commission would benefit both Republicans and Democrats and help restore a sense of trust in our elections. Under the current system, the party in power creates the district: and they are typically skewed through 'fracking and cracking' to favor the party in power. An Independent Redistricting Commission would draw fair and transparent maps for NH state and federal legislative districts. There would be opportunities to allow public input, and voters would know that the goals were to create fair maps, not to gain an advantage for one party or the other. Ellen Farnum
